The Endless Cycle of Debt and Bad Decisions

Student debt continues, the pain will continue, and the stupid decisions made by young people will continue — because the federal government, under loan programs begun and pushed by Barack Hussein Obama, profits from student loans.
What was sold as “help” has turned into a generational trap. Instead of opportunity, millions of Americans are left chained to a financial burden that never should have existed on this scale.
Washington’s Hidden Cash Cow
Student loan debt has grown faster than every other form of debt in America. Why? Because there’s no competition. Colleges and universities can charge whatever they want — they know the federal government will foot the bill, guaranteeing endless taxpayer-backed cash flow.
As a result, tuition rates have skyrocketed while the quality of education stagnates. The schools get rich, the politicians get praise for “helping students,” and the borrowers get stuck.
The Numbers Don’t Lie
As of the third quarter of 2025 (Q3 2025), total student loan balances in the United States stood at $1.65 trillion. That’s an increase of $15 billion from the previous quarter.
When you include both federal and private loans, total student loan debt now sits at $1.81 trillion, according to Q2 2025 data.
Federal loans make up the majority — roughly $1.67 trillion as of late August 2025. And since the end of the federal payment pause, delinquency rates have surged, with 9.4% of total student loan debt now 90 or more days delinquent or in default.
That’s almost one in ten borrowers.
42.5 Million Americans Trapped
Roughly 42.5 million Americans currently hold federal student loan debt. That’s 42.5 million people whose futures are weighed down by a system designed to profit off their pursuit of education.
These are not small mistakes or market fluctuations — this is federal policy, structured to generate interest revenue and feed bureaucratic dependency.
A System Beyond Unsustainable
Not just unsustainable. But ridiculously, stupidly unsustainable.
A government that profits from its citizens’ debt is not a government of opportunity — it’s a government of indentured servitude dressed up in academic caps and gowns.
Until that changes, the cycle of ignorance, manipulation, and economic bondage will continue — by design.
