After US and Israeli forces confirmed they killed Ayatollah Khamenei the next logical step involved choosing a new leader. Considering the US and Israel were currently striking Iran this seemed logical. The Assembly of Experts (which sounds like what the manager and assistant manager at the iStore would call themselves) chose Ayatollah Arafi to fill his turban.

The Ultimate Short Timer

Arafi was a short timer when it comes to the human resources world. He didn’t even have a chance to put his wife’s picture on the desk before the US and Israel gave him a “congrats on the new job” package. Israel delivered that package at high speeds and it contained explosives. No sooner did the Assembly of Experts pull the help wanted post from AhmedsList (the Iranian counterpart to Craigslist don’t quote me on that though) did the position become vacant once again.

A Bad Day for HR

Given that the US and Israel were still striking Iran and two company meetings had already gone horribly wrong (think of a pot luck kabob that gave everyone food poisoning but much worse) they decided to meet in an above ground office building in Tehran to choose another. By all accounts they were probably yelling “NOT IT” over and over again while sweating and wondering like most in company meetings do “when will this meeting end?”

Luckily they didn’t have to wait long. The Israeli military decided to tell them that they didn’t book the conference room and the meeting was over. Israel sent the message at high speeds with an explosive delivery. Now the meeting is over and in theory so is the entirety of succession in the Iranian regime.

Cutting the Snake’s Head

In most other war planning the goal involves wiping out supply and logistics along with air defenses early. But seeing how the military mostly finished that in the first few hours the leadership became the next target. They cut the snake’s head from the body. Yes some hard line generals in the IRGC and others will order whatever attacks they can make but by and large the Iranian regime no longer has any leadership. I think we are somewhere in the range of 60 to 90 top Iranian leaders who fell victim to the real world equivalent of the Thanos snap except focused on total scumbag human beings that enjoyed killing their own people and spreading terror worldwide.

The Clock is Ticking…Like a…(nope, too easy)

It is only a matter of time now. Even with its air force air defense navy communications and commissary destroyed (I cannot confirm the commissary part but it is safe to assume it wasn’t doing great prior to the attack) hard liners were still going to engage because the experts were going to pick another leader. Now the Iranian military looks like a ship without a rudder or a captain, with holes in it in a massive storm where even the rats are putting life vests on. It has been a wild four days. Now the HR department for the Iranian Regime is trying to convince some middle manager in charge of lightbulbs why he would make a great Ayatollah.
