BLM Legacy and Discipline Collapse
The truth about how we got here is obvious. Long before the George Floyd riots, policymakers were already shifting school discipline away from individual behavior and toward statistical outcomes. The post-George Floyd BLM era accelerated that trend, elevating restorative justice, disparate-impact thinking, and equity metrics over accountability and order.
Culture Clash: UFC, and the Giants’ Pride Stand
The announcement of UFC Freedom 250 at the White House generated predictable outrage from many media figures and political activists. Millions of ordinary Americans saw it as a uniquely American celebration of competition, freedom, and national pride. Raw strength was on display for all to see: unapologetic competition, confidence, and American grit.
Yet San Francisco Giants pitchers quietly pushed back on Pride Night by inscribing Genesis 9 verses on their caps. What could have been a simple expression of faith quickly became another controversy. The backlash reinforced a growing perception that their tolerance flows in only one direction and rejects biblical truth. For Christians, the rainbow is God’s promise, not an ideology.
The World’s First Trillionaire
Elon Musk just became the world’s first trillionaire after SpaceX’s blockbuster IPO. It is a testament to bold vision in space, AI, and entrepreneurship. Proof that merit, risk, and execution still build empires in a chaotic age. Yet much of the reaction focused less on the innovations that created that wealth and more on resentment toward the man who built it.
Time For A Reckoning
Whether the issue is discipline in schools, faith in the public square, economic success, national security, or the other stories making headlines this week, the pattern is remarkably similar. When truth is subordinated to ideology and accountability is replaced by excuses, decline and chaos follow.
Rebuilding a healthy culture begins by recognizing the problem, rejecting comforting illusions, and having the courage to confront reality as it is…not as activists, politicians, or institutions wish it to be.
