A Marxist newspaper titled “Sick of Capitalism?” reportedly sold for $5 — the irony of capitalism keeping communism alive.
Credit where it’s due — this gem comes courtesy of @conspiracookie on TikTok, who caught the greatest act of economic irony ever captured on camera: a Communist Marxist newspaper selling for five bucks.
Yes, $5 communist newspaper irony. Cash, card, or whatever capitalist payment app you prefer. The revolution, apparently, comes with a processing fee.
It’s poetic, really. The entire ideology that swears capitalism is evil is literally being kept alive by capitalism. The presses, the paper, the ink, the tables, the shipping — all brought to you by the system they claim to hate.
It’s like watching irony run a 5K in red sneakers.
This whole scene is the political equivalent of:
- A vegetarian who eats steak on weekends.
- A blind speed reader.
- A deaf sound editor mixing bass-heavy hip-hop.
- A Marxist influencer ranting about capitalism from an iPhone 15 Pro.
- A socialist startup selling equality subscriptions for $9.99 a month.
- A protester chanting “Down with money!” while Venmo-ing their bail fund.
- A Che Guevara T-shirt proudly labeled “Made in America.”
The world’s turning faster than Lenin in his mausoleum.
So, next time you see someone selling the revolution one copy at a time, just smile — because even Marx couldn’t print his message without a capitalist middleman and a $5 Communist newspaper.
