MSNBC’s broadcast comparing President Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally to a 1939 pro-Nazi event sparked backlash for its inflammatory framing.

After watching a full day of leftist media and politicians disparage Americans from diverse backgrounds who attended a rally for President Trump in Madison Square Garden, I felt compelled to write this article. The manner in which they described these American citizens—labeling them as “gross,” “abhorrent,” and “disgusting” simply for wanting a different path than the past four years—is not only un-American but also irresponsible and dangerous.
The Left’s Dangerous Rhetoric and Media Amplifiers
Accusing fellow citizens of aligning with an “evil political group” responsible for the Holocaust and global war is a reprehensible tactic to maintain power. This is not political discourse; it is an incendiary call to unrest that must be stopped immediately. Such divisive and inflammatory rhetoric will only serve to further divide the country, rather than bringing Americans of all races, creeds, and backgrounds together as the rally intended.

Weaponizing Words — When ‘Nazi’ Loses All Meaning

The overuse of the term “Nazi” has become tiresome. Sadly, through a combination of selective education and fear-mongering, the left has indoctrinated its followers into believing that a “Nazi” is:
- Anyone who disagrees with them
- Anyone who expresses pride in America
Emotion Over Reason — How Indoctrination Replaces Thought
This has been achieved by teaching young people to be emotional rather than logical, and to prioritize feelings over facts. The left is quick to fear and vilify anything it does not understand, labeling anyone who dissents as a dangerous boogeyman out to destroy their way of life. This constant barrage of fear-based rhetoric has left many on the left in a state of perpetual outrage.
The New Authoritarians Masquerading as Progressives
Ironically, these self-proclaimed progressives often exhibit behaviors reminiscent of the very fascism they claim to oppose. From shouting down opposing views, to attacking those who express patriotism, to advocating the suppression of free speech, their actions mirror the tactics used by the Nazis to consolidate power. Yet they remain convinced of their own moral superiority, even as they embrace the very authoritarian tendencies they profess to abhor.
Learning From History Before It Repeats Itself
History has shown that those who engage in such divisive, fear-based politics are rarely the “good guys.” The public must be vigilant and seek out the truth for themselves, rather than blindly accepting the narratives pushed by politicians, academia, and a compliant media.
Only by upholding our constitutional rights and restoring the principles of this republic can we hope to avoid the pitfalls of the past and move forward as a truly free and prosperous nation.
“A republic, if you can keep it.”
–Benjamin Franklin’s response to Elizabeth Willing Powel’s question: “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?”
