On X this evening, Elon Musk announced that he would be joining former President Donald Trump when he returns to Butler Pennsylvania on Saturday, where Trump was previously shot during an assassination attempt in July. It will be the first time Trump has been back to Butler since he was shot in the ear by an assassin that the public has learned very little about.
Tonight, Musk posted this on X in response to a Trump post:
Elon Musk, a longtime supporter of former President Trump, has become increasingly critical of the Biden administration and the Harris-Walz campaign. Musk has repeatedly voiced his opposition to the administration’s policies on immigration, government spending, and censorship, posting and responding to numerous social media messages on these topics. Furthermore, Musk has openly endorsed Trump, expressed vocal support for him, and even hosted the former president on his X Spaces platform.
During Trump’s upcoming visit to Butler, he will receive an enhanced protection package compared to his previous visit. As a former president, Trump now receives the same level of security as a sitting president. It is reasonable to assume there will be additional protection measures beyond the standard package in place for this particular trip.
