The digital age promised us unlimited information, but it often delivers manufactured ignorance instead. Media outlets and leftist politicians now use “The Headline Effect” to bypass your critical thinking. They create clickbait knowing most users will never research the claims. Tonight on The Edge of Liberty, we dismantle the latest round of disinformation.
The Epstein “38,000” and the 1994 Trap
Viral posts currently claim Donald Trump appears “38,000 times” in the January 2026 Epstein document dump. This is a classic volume trick. In a dump of three million files, every administrative mention of the “Trump administration” or news articles about him counts as a hit.
The media is also recycling a 32-year-old allegation of a sexual act with a minor. This claim originated in 1994 and was called into an FBI tip line six years ago. Most importantly, a July 15, 2025 DOJ memo officially closed this door. The Department of Justice found “no credible evidence” to predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties. They are selling you a debunked 2020 tip as “breaking news” in 2026.
The Gabbard “Cover-Up” Retraction
We are seeing the 2019 “Whistleblower” playbook return. Lawyer Andrew Bakaj is again at the center of a “bombshell” leak regarding DNI Tulsi Gabbard. The Guardian initially claimed an Iranian official contacted a high-level Trump official.
They had to retract that claim quietly. The reality is far less sensational. An NSA intercept merely caught two foreign nationals gossiping about someone close to the administration. Successive Inspectors General, including Biden-era appointee Tamara Johnson on June 6, 2025, already ruled the whistleblower complaint “not credible.”
The SAVE Act: Common Sense vs. The “Jim Crow” Smear
The House passed the SAVE Act today, February 9, 2026. This bill requires documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote and a photo ID to cast a ballot. While Chuck Schumer calls it “Jim Crow 2.0” and Jamie Raskin claims it “destroys” the 19th Amendment, the American people disagree.
A February 2026 CNN poll shows that 83% of Americans support voter ID laws. This includes 71% of Democrats and 76% of Black voters. The SAVE Act even includes a specific affidavit process for citizens whose documents do not match due to marriage or name changes, debunking Raskin’s 19th Amendment narrative.
Global Updates: Italy, Iran, and Japan
We also cover a brazen “Heat-style” armored van robbery on an Italian freeway today. Meanwhile, the U.S. “Armada” continues its move toward Iran as negotiations reach a breaking point. Finally, we look at the historic landslide victory for Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in Japan, who secured a supermajority to strengthen Japan’s defense and economy.
