A vehicle believed to be used by federal law enforcement was vandalized with an explicit anti-ICE death threat amid ongoing unrest in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis saw a disturbing escalation in civil unrest this week after a vehicle believed to be used by federal law enforcement officers was vandalized and spray-painted with explicit anti-ICE death threats.

According to reporting, demonstrators broke into and damaged the vehicle before spray-painting the message “Only good agent is a dead one” across its side. Additional anti-ICE graffiti covered the vehicle, which appeared to have been targeted specifically due to its suspected use by federal officers operating in the area.

The vandalism occurred amid ongoing unrest tied to federal immigration enforcement actions in Minneapolis. Protests intensified following a violent confrontation involving an ICE agent during a traffic stop. Federal authorities stated that the individual involved allegedly attacked the agent with a shovel and broom handle, prompting the agent to fire his weapon.

As demonstrations grew, crowds confronted federal officers, shouting demands for ICE to leave the city. Law enforcement reported that some protesters escalated the situation by throwing fireworks and other projectiles at officers.

In response, federal agents deployed crowd-control measures including tear gas and flash-bang devices. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara declared portions of the gathering an unlawful assembly, and multiple individuals were detained.

City officials attempted to walk a narrow line. Mayor Jacob Frey urged residents to remain peaceful while condemning violence and destruction of property. Federal officials were far less diplomatic, making clear that threats against law enforcement personnel constitute criminal acts, not protected protest.
