Two members of the West Virginia National Guard were shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in a deadly attack near the White House, according to an official statement from West Virginia’s governor. What began as a “critical incident” alert has now escalated into a confirmed tragedy shaking both Washington, D.C., and the National Guard community.
