New evidence battles are erupting in Congress, and Democrats may have opened a door with the Epstein documents that they were not prepared for. After Hakeem Jeffries publicly called Oversight Chairman James Comer a “stone cold liar,” Comer walked onto the House floor with something Democrats did not expect. He brought hard evidence. He brought receipts. And he brought them in front of the entire country.

According to the Western Journal report, Comer laid out more than thirty thousand pages of subpoenaed documents from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein. Within that collection, he identified two separate Democrats who had communications with Epstein. One was Stacey Plaskett. The other was tied directly to Jeffries.

Comer held up a blown up copy of an email. The email showed a fundraising consultant for Hakeem Jeffries sending a direct solicitation to Jeffrey Epstein. It offered Epstein the opportunity to attend a 2013 fundraising dinner with Barack Obama and described it as a chance to “get to know Hakeem better.”

Jeffries responded by calling the entire thing a lie. He said he has no idea what Comer is talking about. He then escalated the moment by calling Comer a stone cold liar.

Here is the part that matters. Comer did not respond with insults. He responded with evidence. If the email is real, it raises the question Democrats do not want to answer. Did they open a door with Epstein they were not prepared for? Once subpoenaed records begin surfacing, neither shouting nor denial seals that door shut again.

The story is not about whether Jeffries personally typed the email. The story is whether the top House Democrat had a campaign that knowingly reached out to Epstein for fundraising help long after Epstein was a convicted sex offender. That question matters. That question stands whether Jeffries gives a statement or not.

Democrats wanted an aggressive approach to the Epstein archives. They demanded full transparency. They wanted every piece of paperwork. Now that the paperwork is arriving, they look nervous. When the minority leader of the House calls the chairman of oversight a liar on television, it signals fear, not confidence.

Comer brought evidence. Jeffries brought denial. The American people will decide which matters more.

When subpoenas bring forward documents that point to Epstein contacting or being contacted by elected officials, transparency is not optional. Democrats insisted on opening the Epstein archive.
