Official House roll call results for H.Res. 888 showing the censure of Delegate Stacey Plaskett failing 209–214.
The House of Representatives failed to pass a censure resolution against Delegate Stacey Plaskett after Rep. Ralph Norman brought forward the measure. The resolution concerned Plaskett’s documented text communications with Jeffrey Epstein during a 2019 House Oversight Committee hearing.
According to records cited in the previously published SHR Media report, the messages show Epstein offering Plaskett guidance during her questioning and responding to her performance in real time. Norman introduced the censure after those exchanges became public.
During the vote, the measure did not reach the required threshold for passage. With the resolution failing, no formal censure or disciplinary action will move forward. Not a single Democrat voted to support the censure. 3 Republicans voted “Nay”, while another 3 voted “present”.
Norman responded to the vote by stating that the result reflects a broader lack of accountability in Congress. Per his statement on X:
