At what point does corporate media stop pretending it is harmless entertainment and admit it is broadcasting political recklessness?

That question is unavoidable. Disney owned platforms continue to put personalities on air who push claims. If those claims were reversed and aimed at the Left, they would instantly be labeled dangerous disinformation.

Take Whoopi Goldberg on The View. According to widely circulated clips and reporting, Goldberg suggested the United States does not have a functioning government. She floated the idea of NATO intervening to remove Donald Trump. That is not satire. That is not comedy. That is rhetoric that openly entertains foreign intervention against a sitting American government.

Then there is Jimmy Kimmel, who reportedly told audiences that Trump is ordering Immigration and Customs Enforcement to kill Americans and even displayed a shirt reading, “Donald Trump is going to kill you.” That is not criticism of policy. That is an accusation of mass murder directed at a former president and repeated to millions of viewers.

If those claims were made about a Democrat president, they would be framed as incitement. The shows would be pulled. The hosts would be suspended. Advertisers would flee. Fact-checkers would swarm. Congressional hearings would be demanded.

But because the targets are politically acceptable, Disney stays silent.

This Is Not Free Speech. It Is Corporate Irresponsibility.

No one is arguing that comedians or talk show hosts can’t criticize politicians. That is not the issue. The issue is the normalization of language that implies coups, foreign intervention, and state-sanctioned murder without evidence.

When media figures tell audiences that America has no legitimate government, that NATO should step in, or that federal agents are being ordered to kill civilians, they are not “speaking truth to power.” They are eroding trust in institutions and inflaming paranoia.

We are already living in a time of heightened political violence. Police are being attacked. Federal buildings are targeted. Threats against officials are rising. In that environment, words matter. Broadcast platforms amplify them exponentially.

Disney is not a helpless bystander here. The Walt Disney Company controls the platforms, signs the contracts, and profits from the outrage. It enforces “standards” aggressively when speech violates progressive orthodoxy. It suddenly forgets those standards when its own talent crosses lines that would be unacceptable anywhere else.

The Double Standard Is the Point

Disney executives know exactly what they are allowing. This is not an oversight. It is a calculated tolerance rooted in ideology. Dangerous rhetoric is acceptable as long as it flows in one political direction.

That is how trust in media collapses. Not because people can’t handle criticism of Trump, but because they can see the rules are rigged. One side gets satire. The other gets smears that imply death, coups, and foreign control.

If Disney wants to be an activist corporation, it should say so plainly. If it wants to claim journalistic responsibility, then it must start acting like it.

Because when corporations normalize talk of overthrowing governments and accusing political opponents of murder, they are not informing the public. They are playing with fire.

And eventually, someone gets burned.
