DOGE remains active as agencies cancel up to one point nine billion dollars in wasteful federal contracts.

The rumors of DOGE’s death are not just exaggerated. They are completely false. Despite the noise, the panic, and the political misinformation blasting across social media, the program is not only alive. It is aggressively cutting government waste at a pace that Washington insiders clearly did not expect.
A new video circulating online shows DOGE leadership making it clear that the program is still fully operational. More importantly, they revealed a staggering figure that exposes why some people in the bureaucracy want the public confused.
According to DOGE, federal agencies have spent the last nine days terminating and scaling back seventy eight contracts. The ceiling value of the canceled or descoped contracts is reported at up to one point nine billion dollars, with an estimated three hundred thirty five million dollars saved for taxpayers.
If that number is accurate, it is one of the most aggressive contract cleanup operations in recent federal history. And it would explain why entrenched players want to frame DOGE as collapsing or inactive. Waste has a lot of friends in Washington. Accountability does not.
Supporters of the program have been urging DOGE to keep pushing. Cutting nearly two billion from bloated and unnecessary contracts in just over a week shows that someone inside the building is still swinging the axe.
For now, the only clear truth is this. DOGE’s leadership appears decentralized, active, and intent on carrying out its mission. Every department now has its own DOGE unit built into it. Instead of one centralized DOGE covering the entire federal government, the system has been broken down into smaller internal sections, making it harder to shut down and easier to keep cutting waste. Anyone claiming the program is finished is either misled or wants it gone.
The backlash from the political establishment makes a lot more sense when you look at the money being ripped out of their hands.
Editorial Closure
Washington thrives when no one asks questions. Waste balloons, contractors feast, and taxpayers lose. When a program like DOGE slashes nearly two billion dollars in questionable spending, the entrenched political class responds with fear, spin, and confusion. Accountability is their enemy. Transparency is a threat. Our job at SHR Media is to cut through the fog and keep the truth front and center. We will keep watching, keep reporting, and keep demanding clarity. That is how integrity survives.
