FBI bulletin for Keith Michael Lisa showing photographs, physical description, charges, reward information, and capture notice.
Federal authorities have arrested a New Jersey man accused of entering the Newark office of Acting U.S. Attorney Alina Habba and damaging federal property earlier this week.
The Incident
According to the FBI, the suspect, identified as 51 year old Keith Michael Lisa, first attempted to enter the Peter W. Rodino Federal Building while carrying a baseball bat. Security denied him entry at that time. Investigators say he later returned without the bat, gained access to the building, and proceeded to damage property inside the U.S. Attorney’s Office area before fleeing.
The incident triggered a multi agency search involving the FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, and Homeland Security Investigations. Lisa was taken into custody without incident after agents located him following the release of a wanted bulletin.
Charges
Federal officials said Lisa has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon in a federal facility and depredation of federal property. The warrant for his arrest was issued out of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Attorney General Pam Bondi thanked the agencies involved in the search and stated that threats or attacks on federal prosecutors and their offices will be pursued aggressively.
Lisa is expected to make his initial appearance in federal court in Newark this week. No injuries were reported and authorities have not released a possible motive.
