Chairmen Carney
.
Well, well, well… Canada, it seems you’ve traded in one master of performative politics (looking at you, Trudeau) for a new puppet from the World Economic Forum starter pack: Mark Carney. That’s right—the former central banker, climate czar, and all-around globalist poster boy has somehow been handed the keys to the kingdom. If you thought the last few years were rough, buckle up—this ride’s about to get bumpier.
Carney, best known for hopping between cushy international gigs like a bureaucratic Forrest Gump, now gets to flex his “leadership” skills on an entire nation. His résumé? Oh, just the usual: running the Bank of Canada and Bank of England, waving the climate change flag so hard his arm must hurt, and cozying up to every elite institution that dreams of a one-world government. Just the guy the average working-class Canadian was definitely crying out for, right?
Let’s be real: Carney’s vision for Canada reads like a greatest-hits album of globalist fantasies. More taxes in the name of “saving the planet”? Check. Crushing oil and gas jobs because solar panels will totally keep Saskatchewan warm in January? Double check. And don’t forget the endless push for “sustainable” this and “equitable” that—all while regular Canadians struggle to afford groceries, gas, and, well, life.
Of course, his fans in the media are gushing like he’s Canada’s gift to humanity. “A serious leader!” they squeal. Sure. Serious about making Canada a beta test site for every half-baked WEF policy idea and telling hard-working citizens they need to “do their part” by downsizing their homes and giving up their trucks—while he jets off to the next Davos cocktail party.
And let’s not ignore the economy. Because who better to steer a struggling country than a guy whose entire career was built on moving imaginary money around while regular people’s savings shrank? If you thought Trudeau was disconnected from the average citizen, just wait until Carney starts lecturing farmers and tradespeople about “financial innovation” from the comfort of his marble office.
Bottom line: Mark Carney might be the perfect prime minister for the elites, but for everyday Canadians? It’s just more of the same globalist nonsense dressed up as “progress.” Get ready for slick speeches, endless virtue-signaling, and policies that look great on paper—until you realize paper is all you’ll be able to afford if this keeps up.
But hey, at least the climate will feel really, really respected.
