This morning, Donald J. Trump was projected to win a decisive victory, becoming the 47th president of the United States. He secured not only an Electoral College majority, but also the popular vote. This outcome left many on the political left shocked and distressed. Across legacy media outlets, liberal pundits and commentators reacted with anger and bitterness, with the exception of a few conservative voices they featured in an attempt to appear objective.

Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris dispatched a surrogate to instruct her supporters to leave, echoing Hillary Clinton’s actions in 2016. Harris then waited 13 hours before calling President-Elect Trump to congratulate him, and delivered a 12-minute speech that struck a more combative than conciliatory tone.

After taking a “Shellacking”, as President Obama once said, you would think the left and its media would somehow start to ask the question:

So, lets check in on the left and see how they are reacting to lasts nights loss:

The Democratic Party’s messaging following the election results has been criticized as dismissive and out-of-touch. Rather than reflecting on their campaign strategy and connecting with voters’ concerns, many party leaders have instead blamed “those people” for not understanding what’s best for them. This echoes a broader pattern of condescension, exemplified by President Obama’s comments suggesting that the “Brothas” who didn’t support Kamala Harris were misogynists and “too stupid to know what’s good” for them. Such rhetoric only serves to further alienate the very constituents the party needs to reach. Instead, a more humble, empathetic approach focused on addressing voters’ real-world challenges would likely be more effective. The Democratic Party would be wise to reevaluate its messaging and reconnect with the diverse array of Americans it aspires to represent. By the way, does anyone know who the knew governor of Puerto Rico is? Seems like a crude joke wasn’t bigger than a stronger economic future.

This is the problem the left has had for a long time. They like to put people into groups, then tell those groups to be angry, sometimes at each other, and then tell them that they will be the savior. The problem is, you have to at some point be that “savior” in order for that approach to work. The American people last night sent the message to the left “In regards to our savior, you’re fired,” and the left, being the angry people that they are, went on the attack.

They blamed everything from “uneducated,” “self-hating,” “racist,” “misogynist,” “Nazi,” and “fascist” as the reason for the loss. The same message they have been sending to voters in lieu of an actual policy for the last several years, more so in the last four months since Kamala ousted President Joe Biden and took the nomination without receiving a single vote. When you constantly talk down to groups instead of to them, you will never win the support of those groups. Sure, you will have the people who would vote for you no matter what, but those are not the people you need to reach when it comes to election season, and the left refuses to learn that lesson, and I am thankful for their ignorance.

Will they finally change course? Maybe. I have a feeling the left has a lot of “soul” searching to do. When you have Bernie Sanders publicly slamming you and telling you that you “no longer represent the working class,” you know you may have to change course. But who is in charge of the Democrats? The same groups of angry, progressive, globalist, climate change alarmists who want to spend a ton of money and leave our borders open. I suspect that if those people remain steering the Democratic ship, you can bet your ass it will strike another iceberg in four years.

Their biggest problem, and one that really plagues them, is something that I have said on my show over and over. The leftist politicians and leaders all seem to forget that the internet is forever, and the generation who came of age during this election is not getting their information from legacy media. No, they are getting it from numerous sources and often in real time. They can fact-check things like the “Very Fine People” hoax in a matter of seconds and know that you are lying to them. They can pull up a speech from 4 weeks ago when you said something entirely different, like that you support fracking when you don’t. Hell, they can look up and see that you are running pro-Hamas commercials in a heavily Muslim area while running pro-Israel commercials in a large Jewish area.

But Mostly, people are tired of being blamed for everything that is wrong in this country for one thing or another. They are sick of another rich talking head telling them that they are “Nazis” because they want to put food on their table, or called a “Facist” because they don’t want 10 million people wandering into the country. No, people want to be respected and understood. They want to be heard and feel like someone is reaching out to give THEIR life an leg up. Not the collective, not the world, them. It isn’t that they are selfish people, no, Americans are incredible generous. They just know that they can not help anyone else, if they don’t have the basic means to help themselves, and they are sick of being called names for wanting to take care of their family.
