The Network That Forgot How to Report News

This morning, Vice Presidential candidate and Ohio Senator JD Vance appeared on what used to be known as a news network — CNN. I say “used to be,” because at this point, it’s hard to remember the last time they reported actual news instead of injecting themselves into it.

Once upon a time, CNN was a respected outlet, a place where facts came first and commentary came second. But those days are gone. What we’re left with now is a shell of a network — a self-absorbed media machine obsessed with protecting Democrats, destroying conservatives, and pretending it’s all part of “balanced journalism.”

JD Vance’s Question That CNN Couldn’t Answer

During his appearance, Vance did what the modern press hates most: he asked a fair question. Sitting across from longtime anchor Dana Bash, he calmly pointed out the double standard that’s become CNN’s trademark.

Vance didn’t take the bait. Vance didn’t yell, nor didn’t rant. He simply turned the mirror back on Bash — and it was clear she didn’t like the reflection. That quiet moment revealed more about CNN’s bias than a year’s worth of their carefully choreographed “fact checks.”

There was a time when journalists reported on events instead of inserting themselves into them. Now, networks like CNN thrive on manufacturing narratives that keep their audience outraged and their advertisers happy.

It’s not about the truth anymore. It’s about control — of the narrative, of perception, and of what Americans are allowed to believe. JD Vance didn’t just call that out — he exposed it, live and on air, for millions to see.
