A Record 40% of Young Women Want to Leave America

A new Gallup poll shows that 40% of young women want to leave America, a record high that says more about our culture than our country. Meanwhile, the poll also reveals that only 19 percent of men feel the same way. That gap alone tells quite a story. And as usual, the loudest narratives online leave out the real reasons behind this trend.

Why the Poll Matters

According to Gallup, forty percent of women aged 15 to 44 say they’d pack their bags tomorrow if the opportunity arose. Meanwhile, men are still too busy working, paying taxes, raising families, and doing all the things that keep society running.

Let’s get this straight:
We live in a country where women enjoy more freedom, rights, protections, and opportunities than any civilization in human history, yet the prevailing mood seems to be, “Ugh, I’m so over this.”

This isn’t a poll.
This is Trump Derangement Syndrome run amok.

The Decline in Trust—But Only Selectively

Gallup claims the exodus mentality is tied to declining trust in institutions. Younger women say they no longer trust the courts, the government, or the electoral system. That is strange, because I have been reliably told for years that women are the ones “saving democracy.” However, democracy now appears to be something they’d rather save from a safe distance—say, from a mosque in the UK.

America is not perfect. We have problems. But when 40 percent of young women say they’d rather live under another nation’s system—any nation’s—the irony becomes impossible to ignore.

The same people who insist the U.S. is irredeemably oppressive somehow believe the answer is…what? Australia? Sweden? The UK? Countries that would laugh out loud at many of the demands made here?

How Cultural Brainwashing Shaped This Trend

Let’s be honest: a lot of this is cultural brainwashing.
We’ve spent an entire generation teaching young women that America is:

a patriarchal nightmare,
a climate apocalypse,
a Christian theocracy,
a racist empire,
and—my personal favorite—a “late-stage capitalist hellscape.”

And then we’re surprised when they say they want to leave?

If I listened every day to people telling me my house was built on a Native burial ground, infested with demons, structurally unsound, and probably on fire, I’d probably want to move too.

But here’s the twist Gallup doesn’t tell you:
This isn’t really about America being worse.
It’s about Americans being taught to be ungrateful and to take the blessings of this country for granted.

The DoorDash-ification of Patriotism

We’ve raised a couple of generations on emotional outsourcing:
“If something is hard, find a shortcut. If something is uncomfortable, it’s oppressive. If something challenges you, run away.”

It’s the DoorDash-ification of patriotism.
Tap a button and the “better life” magically arrives—no sacrifice, no commitment, no loyalty required.

This raises the obvious question: Move where, exactly?

To Europe, where Muslim men believe they have the right to attack women? Where energy bills vaporize your savings?
To Canada, where free speech is a misdemeanor?
To Australia, where the government treats citizens like toddlers needing constant supervision?
To Japan, where feminism goes to die?

America Is Still the Greatest Country on Earth

The truth is simple:
America is still the greatest country on Earth.
People are still fighting to get in.
And the people who want to get out have forgotten—or were never taught—what it costs to stay free in the first place.

Here’s my message to the 40 percent:
If you’re genuinely struggling, I pray things get better for you.
If you’re taking your ball and stomping off the field because the Supreme Court didn’t go your way, pack a jacket. The rest of the world is colder and harsher than America.

What We Must Do Next

For the rest of us—the ones with sense who believe this country is still worth fighting for—we’ve got work to do. Helping the next generation rediscover the gratitude and grit that built this nation is part of that mission.

Until then? Kick rocks.
Just don’t act shocked when you discover that the so-called “progressive utopias” don’t have Chick-fil-A, concealed carry, or the First Amendment.

Actions have consequences.
TikTok fantasies don’t.
