With few details, One America News Network reporter James Lalino reports that law enforcement officers securing the area of the Long Island Trump rally location found possible explosives in a blue barrel near the scheduled even location, as well as finding more in a vehicle after using an explosive-detecting K9 to conduct a further sweep. The driver fled into a wooded area and away from the scene. It is not known at this time if they were taken into custody.
Update: 11:45 AM local time, Nassau Police are saying the “explosives” found were in fact training items used by K9 teams to simulate explosives. It is not confirmed who placed the items and who were using them.
Update: 11:14 AM local time, Nassau Police state there was a suspicious occurrence in the area of the rally, however, no explosives were discovered:
